Dr. Steven R. Grunewald, D.C.
Dr. Steve has been practicing chiropractic for over 25 years, the majority of that time in the Freeport area. He graduated from National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois in 1996. Originally from Phoenix, AZ, Dr. Steve decided that Northwest Illinois was where he wanted to raise his family and he has been in the area every since. After working as an Associate Doctor in both Arizona and Illinois, Dr. Steve opened his own office, Grunewald Chiropratic & Natural Medicine Clinic in 1999, in Forreston, IL with an emphasis on family care and treatment of sports injuries. In 2006, Dr. Steve moved his practice to Freeport and with his ever growing clientele, has expanded to his current facility at 1120 S. Park Blvd, Freeport. Since 2010, Dr. Steve has also earned his certification of Chiropractic Sports Physician.
Dr. Steve and his wife, Julie, have 4 children, Haley, Cassidy, Nicholas and Bentley. Over the years Dr. Steve has been actively involved in coaching his children in various levels of soccer and he cherishes the time he has shared with them in his favorite sport. He is also an avid Dallas Cowboys and Phoenix Suns fan (sorry to all the Bears/Bulls/Packers/Bucks fans, but it makes for some fun conversation in the office). He enjoys spending his free time with his family, watching soccer games (thank goodness Bentley is still playing), taking care of his yard and most recently golfing. Mostly, Dr. Steve is passionate about helping his patients in any way he can!
